Club Background

O’Malleys is the home of the Brisbane Celtic Supporters Club. We meet to watch Celtic games and also on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7.30pm for a chat and a pint. Everyone is welcome.

The club provide a regular Irish/Celtic Hooley at all Old firm/big matches with Celtic DJ Johnny Mullaneys Shamrocks & Shenanigans Disco, entrance free to everyone.

Celtic Football Club was formed in 1887 by an Irish Marist Monk, Brother Walfrid. Walfrid established the club primarily to help the poor people of the East End of Glasgow, many of whom were Irish Immigrants. Celtic is proud of its charitable foundations and remains committed to many great charitable causes.

In 1967, Celtic became the first British club to win the European Cup. We are rightly proud that the entire team were Scottish and that all were born within 30 miles of Celtic’s Parkhead stadium, a ground known simply to the fans as “Paradise.”

The Brisbane Celtic Supporters Club has the following basic aims:

1. We are a non-profit making club aiming to make charitable donations to the local community.

2. We are a fully inclusive club: we are open to anyone with an interest in Celtic regardless of race, colour, creed or gender. We fully embrace Celtic Football Club’s, “Bhoys against Bigotry Campaign”.

3. We intend to expand the club by encouraging all south east Queensland based Celtic supporters to become active social members.

4. We will do our utmost to provide a Celtic Family Support network for newly migrating or travelling Celtic supporters and endeavour to help them settle as easily as possible.

5. We have just started Brisbane Celtic FC the football team will be for the benefit of our members and the season starts in April 2008

6. We now have an active Ghirls Section who have regular Nights out and events organised.
